whistle stop tour at the MET

We only had one afternoon to see the whole of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Impossible I know but we tried to make the most of it, and did a very very quick tour around as many galleries as we could catch! From temporary jewellery and chinese calligraphy exhibitions, to the permanent display of paintings, opulent interiors, tribal artifacts from around the world and  precious textile fragments! Armed with our cameras and having promised to come back and spend more time here on our next visit we recorded what caught our eyes! Below are some of the highlights from this visit:
